SCOPE OF WORK:

ORG 166 – EDWIN J. KIEST ELEMENTARY SCHOOL - Project consists of the following: Construction of a new 2-story elementary school and associated site development work and the demolition of an existing school building. Work, will include:

1. Site civil work, including, but not limited to, earthwork, utilities, paving, fencing and landscaping.

2. Structural work, but not limited to, steel framing, Insulated concrete forms, and concrete foundations.

3. Masonry, Metals and thermal insulation.

4. Door, storefront and curtainwall systems

5. Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing systems.

6. Fire protection, including Fire suppression systems and Fire alarm systems and fire stopping.

7. Low voltage, but not limited to, security, technology, telecommunications.

8. Elevator and associated systems.

9. Roofing, thermal and moisture protection.

10. Interior Finishes and signage

11. Foodservice equipment.

12. Theatrical lighting and audio-video fixtures and equipment.

13. Athletic equipment including indoor and exterior play equipment.

14. Demolition of the existing school and site clearing.

15. Abatement

BUDGET:

Total Estimated Construction Budget (CCL + Allowances) for CSP 207248 $ 48,165,128.00

PRE-BID & LOCATION:

A pre-proposal meeting will be held at 2611 Healey Dr, Dallas, TX 75228 on Monday, May 20, 2024 via 2:30 pm in person for all interested parties. This meeting is not mandatory, but information discussed will be extremely helpful in preparation of the proposal.

All general contractors and sub-contractors are encouraged to attend this meeting. Contractors will meet A/E(s) and PM at each school to start site tours. The first site tour will take place immediately following the pre-proposal conference. The following is the schedule for all site tours:

All Construction Services procurements must be physically delivered to the Construction Services office, at the Linus D. Wright Dallas ISD Administration Building 9400 North Central Expressway, Suite 800 Dallas, TX 75231. (Call 972.925.7200 for directions). Delivery to other locations will result in rejection of a CSP.

Completed CSP Package Part 1-A, 1-B and 1-C are due on Tuesday, 06/25/2024 at 2:00 PM (local time).

Completed CSP Package Part 2 is due on Wednesday, 06/26/2024 at 3:00 PM (local time).

Any materials received after the respective closing dates / times will not be considered.

The District will open and read the names of the proposers and prices submitted in responsive CSPs beginning at 3:00 P.M. local time upon submittal of Part 2 of the Package, via Zoom:
